Pair of suspects sought in department store robbery

Windsor police are hopeful the public can help identify two male suspects accused of causing a disturbance at Walmart in order to steal a crafting machine.

According to investigators, at around 11 p.m. Monday, police responded to the Supercentre location at 7100 Tecumseh Road East for a robbery with an offensive weapon.

Store workers told police that two men entered the store, and while one of them went off to steal a Cricut Maker 3 cutting machine, the other caused a distraction by reportedly spraying a noxious substance into part of the store. Police say the second suspect then sprayed a security guard with the same substance before the pair took off.

Investigators say the men were last seen in a newer model of a silver Ford F-150 with grey rims.

The suspects are both described as White men with medium builds. During the incident, one of them was wearing a green hat, black face mask, green hooded sweater, black jacket, pants and shoes. The other man was wearing a black toque and baseball hat with a sticker on the rim. He also had a black hooded sweater on, grey jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the possible identity of the suspects is asked to call the Windsor Police Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700, extension: 4830. They can also contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.catchcrooks.com.
