Two cats dead, two displaced after south Windsor fire

Windsor fire officials say there were no injuries in a house fire Friday on the south end.

Crews were called shortly after 9:30 a.m. to a home on Askin Avenue near Liberty Street. The fire was declared out about two hours later.

No one was hurt, but Windsor Fire and Rescue said two cats did not make it.

The cause of the fire was listed as accidental and two people have been displaced. The damage estimate is at $450,000.
