A 25-year-old man has been charged following a traffic stop early Saturday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police were conducting traffic enforcement shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Old Tecumseh Road in Lakeshore when they stopped a vehicle driving over the speed limit.
Constable Steven Duguay said the officer spoke with the driver and determined that the driver had been drinking. Following a roadside test, the driver was arrested.
The Lakeshore man has been charged with operating a vehicle while impaired with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood.
A seven-day vehicle impoundment was implemented, along with a 90-day driver's licence suspension.
The driver was released with a future date in a Windsor court.
