After successfully transitioning its building permit application process online last April, Leamington is moving more services to the internet.
The planning application and approval process are now online.
"We continue to modernize our municipal services by leveraging technology to support residents and our business community," said Chief Administrative Officer Peter Neufeld. "This end-to-end electronic permitting system will make the planning application and approval process more efficient and easier."
Neufeld also believes it will cut unnecessary red tape.
Work on the online payment system is underway and should be available this year.
Homeowners and business professionals can still submit applications on paper at the Leamington Municipal Building, but officials encourage using the online platform.
Since the building permit application process went online through Cloudpermit, Leamington has processed 544 applications.
