The Windsor Essex County Humane Society is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible in a case of animal cruelty.
On July 29, a one-year-old husky, Angel, was reported missing from her home. Later in the day, the dog was found under a bush on Caron Avenue with severe burns covering her entire body. Medical care was administered, but Angel did not survive her injuries.
The Windsor Police Service launched an investigation but has yet to identify a suspect.
The humane society is offering a $2,500 reward to the person or persons who provide information leading to the arrest of the individual who tortured the animal.
Anyone with information about this case of cruelty is asked to email tips@windsorhumane.org. All tips will be forwarded to Windsor Police for investigation, and the reward will be divided among any tipsters whose information leads to charges.
