Man arrested in attempted murder

The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 36-year-old man in connection to the attempted murder investigation in Forest Glade.

The investigation was launched on January 2, after a woman was attacked at a home on Lauzon Road near Forest Glade Drive. Police believe the woman was targeted by her attacker.

The victim had life-threatening injuries, but is now is stable condition.

Investigators told reporters earlier this week the suspect was wearing an ID badge at the time of the incident, but there was no connection to any company or charity identified.

Around 10 p.m. Thursday, the man was arrested at a home in Amherstburg.  He has been charged with attempted murder, possessing a firearm, pointing a firearm, and endangering a life.

Investigators are thanking members of the public who came forward with information that helped them to track down the suspect.
