Windsor police step up search for attempted murder suspect

Windsor police now say a man being sought for a crime in the Forest Glade area is connected to an attempted murder.

The incident took place on the evening of Monday, January 2 on Lauzon Road off of Forest Glade Drive. While few details about the incident have been released, police say it was a targeted attack and the victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The person of interest is a white male of average height with short brown hair and a short beard.

At the time of the incident, police said the suspect was wearing glasses, a black jacket, black pants, and black gloves. The suspect also had an identification badge around their neck and a satchel-type bag strapped over his shoulder.

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward, along with any security camera footage to share from between 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. January 2.

"Investigators would like to review videos recorded during the noted date and time, even if the suspect was not captured, as investigators are looking into the possibility a vehicle may also be involved," said Constable Bianca Jackson. "Investigators are primarily seeking videos in the area of Eastview Horizon Public School on Forest Glade Drive."
