UPDATE: Police investigating first homicide of 2023

Windsor police have arrested four suspects after a 39-year-old man died from a fatal stabbing in downtown Windsor Monday evening.

Police were called to Glengarry Avenue around 8:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators with the Major Crimes Unit believe this was a targeted attack.

A 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene of the crime. Later in the night, investigators arrested a 51-year-old man on Windsor Avenue and a 30-year-old woman on Church Street. A fourth suspect, a 28-year-old man, was arrested early Tuesday morning on Church Street.

All four individuals have been charged with first degree murder and will be arraigned in court Tuesday.
