Erie Shores Healthcare introduces its New Year's baby

Leamington's hospital is welcoming its first baby born in 2023, and it's a girl.

Ariana Edwards was born at 12:26 p.m. on Monday, weighing 7lbs 1oz at Erie Shores Healthcare.

Her parents, Nickisha and Damian of Kingsville, received a basket of gifts donated by several people and local businesses.

Windsor's first baby of the year was born at 1:24 a.m. on January 1 at Windsor Regional Hospital.

The parents, Ashley Mears and Nicolass Bessem are taking time to find the perfect name for their new baby girl.

She is the couple's fourth child and weighed 8lbs 1oz at birth.
