Shots fired at a Tecumseh home Tuesday night

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a report of shots being fired at a home.

Officers were called at around 11 p.m. Tuesday to the home on Chornoby Crescent off Lesperance Road in Tecumseh on a weapons complaint. The initial investigation revealed that shots were fired at the house.

OPP Constable Steven Duguay said the home was occupied at the time, but there were no injuries. The Essex County Crime Unit and West Region Forensic Identification Services have been processing evidence.

There are no concerns for public safety right now.

The OPP is asking residents in the neighbourhood to check security, dashcam, or doorbell camera footage from that time Tuesday night and to give them a call if they notice anything unusual.

Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.
