The Windsor Assembly Plant will be closed for another week.
Late Wednesday afternoon, Unifor Local 444, which represents employees at the plant tweeted that Stellantis has informed them that production will be down all next week.
Last Thursday, the plant announced it had cancelled production starting over the weekend and through the week of August 15 due to supply chain issues.
Employees are told to get additional instructions from their supervisors.
WindsorNewsToday.ca reached out to Stellantis Canada for comment and was told the company is continuing to work with suppliers to mitigate manufacturing impacts.
"As the situation continues to be very fluid, we are making production adjustments as necessary to minimize additional production impact," said Head of Communications LouAnn Gosselin.
There is no word as to when workers will be able to get back to work.
