The Windsor-Essex Pride Fest kicked off Tuesday with the annual Pride flag-raising ceremony at Charles Clark Square.
The ceremony marks the beginning of the week-long celebration of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Windsor-Essex.
The festival is celebrating its 30th year in the community and bringing back a lot of crowd favourite events like bowling, the Run for Rocky, and a weekend full of entertainment in Lanspeary Park.
The Pride parade will be held Sunday, August 7 starting at 11 a.m. It will begin at Argyle Road and Ottawa Street and travel down Ottawa Street to Lanspeary Park.

While Pride Fest lasts about a week, the Windsor-Essex Pride Fest organization hosts a number of events to support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community year-round.
