Colosseum celebrating grand re-opening

The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor is anxiously waiting to welcome guests to its grand reopening next week.

The entertainment venue has been shuttered for the better part of 26 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We're ready. Certainly, the property is more than ready, the entertainment team here is more than ready, it's a team effort, we have a great world-class reputation within the booking agency world and we're just really excited to get restarted," said Tim Trombley, director of entertainment at Caesars Windsor.

The schedule kicks off on May 5 with the Tenors.

"Music is part of our social fabric and I think being in the Colosseum on a show night when there's 5,000 people experiencing a great live show, there's just something very special about that and we're certainly excited to bring that back," said Trombley.

The Colosseum has many big-name concerts and comedy acts booked into the summer months including Brad Paisley, Chelsea Handler, and the Black Crowes.

"We're very excited. We believe that we're coming back with a very diverse line-up, something for everybody. It's one of the things that we've always tried to do with our Colosseum programming," said Trombley.

More than 15 shows have been canceled or rescheduled since March 2020. Trombley indicated many of the shows are still being rescheduled and could be on the line-up this fall.
