Windsor woman 'blessed' after Lotto Max win

A Windsor mother has plenty to be thankful for after collecting a big prize playing the OLG's Lotto Max.

Grace Jao, 46, participated in the March 22 draw and used her app to check her ticket. She was stunned when she realized that she had won the Lotto Max second prize of $323,517.80.

"I had to scan it three times to believe it! I am very thankful. I feel so blessed," said Jao when she collected her winnings last week at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

Jao purchased her ticket at the Real Canadian Superstore on Dougall Avenue in Windsor.

She plans to pay off her vehicle with the winnings, and send money to family in the Philippines.

Lotto Max is drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays, and players choose three sets of seven numbers from one to 50 for a $5 bet. When the Lotto Max jackpot reaches $50-million, MaxMillions prizes are also offered.
