Bike fixing station installed in Walkerville

Bike Windsor Essex has put $55,000 of Ontario Trillium grant funding to good use over the past year.

In addition to the safe cycling education programs for youth, seniors and families across the region the group is installing important infrastructure in the community.

Bike Windsor Essex has installed a bike fix-it station outside the Bike Kitchen on Monmouth Road in Walkerville.

“Being able to get back to teaching skills was very important to us,” said Executive Director Lori Newton. “The demand for safe cycling classes and basic mechanics classes is strong across the region and now we’re better able to support people who are unable to visit in person.”

Information on the Bike Windsor Essex programming can be found on its website.
