More vaccines available at clinics

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit will start offering more vaccines at clinics throughout the region.

Students in Grades 7 to 12 needing their Hepatitis B, Human Papillomavirus (HPV), and/or Meningococcal Disease vaccination series can now make an appointment at the Devonshire Mall vaccine clinic or the WECHU Leamington clinic.  The COVID-19 vaccine is also still available at the clinics.

Local health care professionals also continue to offer the needed vaccine series for students in this age group.

As part of the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA), the Meningococcal vaccine is required to attend school in Ontario. The Hepatitis B and HPV vaccines are not required although the health unit strongly recommends them.

Clinic times can be found on the health unit's website here.
