Starting Friday morning, crews will start dredging a section of Belle River in Lakeshore.
The work is between the mouth of Lake St. Clair, upstream to the footbridge between First Street and West River Street.
Dredging will deepen the river improving water flow and drainage.
It should wrap up by the end of March.
The work will impact access to the beach, river, and Lake St. Clair.
Temporary fencing is going up along the beach. The public will not be allowed around the place where contractors are working.
Businesses and residents nearby can also expect some noise during the day.
