Rick Hayden is a weekly player of LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49, and it's paid off in a big way.
The 62-year-old electrician matched the last six numbers in the exact order in the January 24 Daily Grand draw.
"This was my first time playing Daily Grand, and I won the ENCORE!" he said at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
At first, he didn't realize he had won. He didn't have his glasses with him when he checked his numbers on the OLG App and went to the store to confirm his ticket. That's when he found out.
"I was ecstatic! My wife thought I was going to have a heart attack! I didn't stop vibrating for three days!" he said.
Hayden plans to buy a new set of golf clubs and invest his winnings. He would also like to travel to Newfoundland.
