Hospice of Windsor and Essex County to host vaccination clinics

There are still opportunities to get your first, second, or third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Windsor-Essex.

The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County is hosting pop-up clinics next week at both of its locations, in Windsor and Leamington.

Anyone can book an appointment for between 9 a.m. and noon on Monday at the clinic at the Windsor campus on Empress Street. Walk-ins are welcome between noon and 4 p.m.

On Friday, the Erie Shores Campus at 197 Talbot Street West in Leamington hosts a second pop-up clinic. Appointments are open between 10 a.m. and noon, while walk-ins can show up between noon and 3 p.m.

First and second doses are available for anyone five and up and those over 18 who need a booster shot. Those who are immunocompromised and eligible for a fourth dose can get one if they provide documentation.

Those interested in booking an appointment at either location can call 226-348-0768 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Those who are sick or self-isolating are asked to stay away.

If you do not have a health card, you can still get a vaccine if you present another form of government-issued photo identification.
