Fire damage calculated at $500,000

Fire officials can't say what started a house fire on Chatham Street East in Windsor.

Firefighters arrived at the home near Louis Avenue around 9 p.m. and fought the flames into the early morning hours.

No one was hurt, and the cause is listed as undetermined, but the damage is calculated at $500,000.

The fire was the second in as many days in the neighbourhood.

On Tuesday night, a home on Louis Avenue between Aylmer Avenue and University Avenue East went up in flames.

Windsor Police are investigating that fire.
