One of two house fires Tuesday under police investigation

One of two fires in the city over the past 24 hours is being investigated by Windsor Police.

The first house fire broke out on Louis Street between University Avenue East and Aylmer Avenue. That started just after midnight Tuesday.

No one was hurt, but the flames caused $125,000 damage.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services handed the investigation over to the Windsor Police. However, Constable Darius Goze couldn't confirm what that probe entailed on Wednesday morning.

The second fire was Tuesday afternoon on Ontario Street between Tourageau Road and Aubin Road south of the railroad tracks.

Again, fire officials said there were no injuries, but one person was displaced.

Investigators traced that fire back to an electrical fault and reported $100,000 damage.
