The City of Windsor is letting drivers know ahead of time a major project will get underway soon on the Central Avenue overpass over the E.C. Row Expressway.
It may mean some commuters will need to change their regular route.
Starting on October 18, Southbound Central Avenue will be down to one lane for repairs on the bridge.
The entire bridge will shut down for an entire weekend for asphalt resurfacing and line painting in stage two, while in stage three, it will close between 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. During that phase, it will reopen during the day.
There will be detours.
The city will notify the public when the second and third stages get underway closer to those dates.
The entire project should finish on November 7.
