Housing sales slip in September

The number of homes sold last month in Windsor-Essex may have slipped a little last month, but the market is still hot.

The Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors said sales were down 15.7 per cent in September compared to September 2020, but so far this year, they are still up 18.4 per cent.

A total of 655 homes were sold compared to 777 a year ago.

Most of those homes were in the $420,000 to $549,999 range.

The average selling price continues to climb. It is up 27.4 per cent from one year ago to $552,186, down slightly from August when it was $568,420, but still well above the $433,423 posted for September 2020.
