Windsor City Councillors deferred a report on the proposed new location for the Streetcar No. 351 during a council meeting Monday morning.
Back in 2018, councillors approved the location at the Celestial Beacon north of Riverside Drive at the foot of Askin Avenue.
The decision did not sit well with a resident living in the area because the crown of the building housing the streetcar would be 7 feet taller than Riverside Drive, blocking his view of the Detroit River.
The resident's appeal was sent to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal for resolution earlier this year, but the city did not contest the issue.
Since then, the city's administration has been looking for a new spot, and they think they've found it at the Legacy Beacon further east along Riverside Drive at Caron Avenue.
However, the move will tack an extra $1-million onto the project's price tag. Instead of $7.4-million, it will cost $8.4-million.
No specific date was provided for when the issue will return to council.
