Police looking for man wanted for assault

The Windsor Police Service is looking for a man they say is armed and dangerous after an assault in west Windsor Wednesday.

Around 10 p.m., officers responded to an assault report on Watkins Street.

Police learned the suspect and victim, who are known to each other, were involved in an argument. The victim was choked and a suspect brandished a weapon.

Police say the victim had non-life threatening injuries as a result.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for 30-year-old Aaron Evans. He is wanted for assault, possessing a firearm, and breach of probation.

Police believe the suspect left the scene of the assault in a newer model, black Toyota Corolla.

Evans is described as a 6' tall man, about 220 lbs, with short brown hair, and brown eyes. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees him is advised to call 911 immediately.
