Two vaccination clinics coming up at the University of Windsor

The University of Windsor is holding more on-campus clinics next week and next month.

Both clinics are in the Faculty of Education parking lot at California Avenue and University Avenue West.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit hosts the first one on Tuesday, August 24, and the Community Response and Stabilization Team will host the second on September 10.

Both clinics start at 10 a.m. and run until 3 p.m.

"The University of Windsor is proud to provide space for all members of the community to receive the vital vaccination against COVID-19," said President and Vice-Chancellor Rob Gordon. "This is our shot to end the pandemic and return to normal."

The clinic is free, and a health card is not required.

The university has also launched a campaign to encourage students and others in the community to get their shots. "Knock Out COVID" is a partnership between the university and the University of Windsor Student Alliance. It offers weekly prizes for those who share stories on social media encouraging friends and family to get vaccinated. It wraps up on September 17.
