LaSalle's Olympic swimmer, Kylie Masse, grabbed herself another silver medal during the women's 200-metre backstroke on Saturday morning in the Tokyo Olympics.
Masse started her swim strong maintaining first place through the first 150 metres. She was out-touched by Australian Kaylee McKeown's time of 2:04.68 by just .74 seconds finishing at 2:05.42. Another Aussie swimmer, Emily Seebohm, took bronze with a time of 2:06.17.
On Monday night, the 25-year-old swimmer won her first silver in the women's 100-metre backstroke where McKeown clinched gold again, less than one second ahead of the LaSalle native.
Masse's second silver medal is Canada's fifth swimming medal of Tokyo 2020. So far Team Canada has secured 12 Olympic medals, three gold, four silver and five bronze.
