Two charged after St. Joachim break and enter

The Ontario Provincial Police has arrested two people following a break-in in Lakeshore.

Officers were called around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday to a vacant building on County Road 42 in St. Joachim.  There was a report of a break-and-enter in progress.

Two suspects were still on scene when police arrived and were soon taken into custody.

A 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, both from Lakeshore, were charged with one count each of break-and-enter to commit an offence.

The charge has not been proven in court.

The suspects were released, and are expected to appear in a Windsor court on September 9.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this, or any incident, is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
