Windsor police are looking for two people suspected of stealing a vehicle that was since recovered.
The incident began on Friday, June 18. Officers responded at around 4:30 a.m. to a report about a stolen vehicle, a silver 2007 Nissan Murano. Police determined that two suspects, a male, and a female, were seen in the area of Drouillard Road and Milloy Street just before the incident.
Constable Talya Natyshak said the stolen vehicle may have been in the area of Giles Boulevard West and Bruce Avenue, or Erie Street West and Bruce Avenue, soon after the incident was reported.
The vehicle was found Thursday, June 24, on Watson Avenue near Riverside Drive East.
The first suspect is described as a White male, about 30 years old, approximately 6'3", and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black "snap-back" flat-brimmed baseball hat, sunglasses on his head, a blue bandana, black hooded zip-up sweater with white accents, dark-coloured jean shorts, and black shoes with white soles.
The second suspect is described as a White female. She is approximately 20 to 30 years old, about 5'5", and 120 pounds. She had long red hair, and was wearing a black top, jeans, black shoes, and carrying a black draw-string bag.
Police have released images of the suspects taken from what appeared to be doorbell camera footage. Anyone who may have additional footage from the neighbourhood is asked to check it for anything unusual and contact the police.
