The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has shut down three beaches in the region because of high e-coli counts.
Belle River Beach, Mettawas Beach, and Sandpoint Beach all had e-coli counts of at least 1,000 when they were tested on Monday.
The health unit retests the water at closed beaches on Thursdays, and those results should be available at the end of the day on Friday.
Another seven beaches are open for swimming.
Those are Cedar Beach, Cedar Island Beach, Colchester Beach, Holiday Beach, Point Pelee North West Beach, and Seacliff Beach.
