OPP investigating a May fire as arson

Ontario Provincial Police say a fire last month at a vacant home in Tecumseh was set on purpose.

Tecumseh fire crews were called shortly after 3:30 p.m. on May 10 to a house on Walker Road south of Highway 3. OPP officers assisted firefighters at the scene.

The fire destroyed the house, which was vacant. Tecumseh Fire has since determined that it was started by arson.

OPP Constable Steven Duguay said no one was hurt in the incident. The Crime Unit has asked anyone with information or security camera footage to share to give them a call.

Tips may be phoned in at 1-888-310-1122, or submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), to be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
