Starting this week, Windsor residents can go online and talk to their mayor.
Drew Dilkens will host a series of virtual conversations with the public starting Wednesday, June 9.
Each session will open with a brief presentation before it is opened up to the public for discussion.
Dilkens will talk about things like the municipal budget, ongoing local projects, and the council's top priorities over the coming months. There will also be updates on how the city is preparing for life after the pandemic.
"Pre-pandemic, I would enjoy participating in consultations across Windsor and also hosting my ward walks as a way to talk about issues important to all residents," said Dilkens. "This virtual platform is another way I'm looking to engage with Windsorites."
Each session will start at 7 p.m. and last about an hour. In addition to the conversation on Wednesday, there are sessions planned for June 16 and June 23. A maximum of 100 residents can participate, and they are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible by calling 519-255-6315, registering online, or visiting Mayor Drew Dilkens' Facebook and YouTube pages.
