After a brief chase, officers with the Windsor Police Service arrested and charged a Windsor man with a number of firearm-related charges.
Officers were called to the Ford Test Track around 10 p.m. Saturday after a driver reported a man on a bike pointed a gun after a brief verbal argument. The victim and the accused were not known to each other.
Officers quickly located the suspect, however he evaded arrest using his bicycle. Officers caught up to the suspect and he was arrested after a brief struggle. Officers located what appeared to be a black handgun on the ground that was determined to be a cap gun. Officers also found and seized ammunition during the investigation.
James Bondy, 35, is facing charges of pointing a firearm, escaping police custody, and possession of a firearm while prohibited. The charges have not been proven in court.
