Windsor Assembly Plant will be partially operational next week

Some employees at the Windsor Assembly Plant will be back to work the week of May 31, 2021.

Unifor Local 444 told its members through a social media post the plant will be operating two shifts that week.

As Stellantis spokesperson LouAnn Gosselin told BlackburnNews.com last week, this is only a partial operation.

“Stellantis continues to work closely with our suppliers to mitigate the manufacturing impacts caused by the various supply chain issues facing our industry,” said Gosselin.

Gosselin said the company continues to make decisions about the operation of the plant on a weekly basis based on the global semiconductor issue.

The Windsor Assembly Plant has been idle since March 29 due to the shortage.
