Two Windsor people are facing charges after a man was robbed and held against his will.
The Windsor Police Service says they were called on Sunday for a report of a robbery. The victim reported he was assaulted after he told two men, whom he knew, that he would not go with them to a home on Langlois Avenue. The three men then went to the home on Langlois where he was held for several hours. A woman was also present and involved in the confinement and uttered threats.
On Sunday afternoon, police searched a home on Langlois Avenue but did not find the suspects. Some evidence was seized from the property.
Police say the suspects were seen by the Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Unit on Monday leaving a home on Francois Road. Officers stopped the car and a pair of suspects were arrested.
Police have charged Michael Pare, 38, with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, forcible confinement, extortion, uttering threats to cause death to an animal, robbery, and possessing a firearm while prohibited.
Sarah Bianchi, 38, is also facing charges of forcible confinement, extortion, uttering threats to cause death to an animal, and possessing a firearm while prohibited.
