You may want to take note if you've travelled in a Vets Cab within the past week and a half.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit reported Tuesday evening that a possible exposure point for COVID-19 has been found within the local Vets Cab fleet.
The blanket notification is being made to inform anyone who may have used the service over the days shown, since a set location has not been identified.
The notification did not mention how many people may have tested positive for COVID-19. The possibility of the patient being a passenger or a driver was also not disclosed.
Anyone who used a Vets Cab from Friday, April 16, through Tuesday, April 20, is being asked to self-monitor for symptoms.
As with all possible COVID-19 exposure points, the health unit says the risk for transmission is low.
If you start experiencing symptoms, you are asked to self-isolate and contact your health care provider for further instructions.
As of Tuesday night, the health unit had three active exposure points, including two fast-food restaurants. Potential exposure points are active from 14 days of public disclosure.
