Essex County provincial police say the body of a Leamington man was found on a shoreline in LaSalle.
According to investigators, the LaSalle Police Service contacted OPP on Sunday after human remains were discovered on the shoreline off of Front Road. Police have since confirmed the found remains are that of 32-year-old Victor Paz-Lozoya, who was reported missing in early January.
The investigation is ongoing by members of the OPP Essex County Major Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Services (FIS), Ontario Forensic Pathology Services, and the Office of Chief Coroner for Ontario.
No other details on if the death is being treated as suspicious or not have been released, though police are asking the public for assistance in the case.
