Windsor police seek tips in Louis Ave homicide

Investigators are looking for information into Windsor's first homicide of 2021.

Windsor police were first called to a home in the area of Louis Avenue and Cataraqui Street at around 2 p.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found a deceased man inside.

With the circumstances surrounding the death unknown, the Major Crimes Unit was called in to process the scene and investigate further.

After the investigation was complete and a post-mortem report was released Thursday, police determined that the death was a homicide.

Police are now asking the public for information. Residents and businesses in the neighbourhood are being asked to check security camera footage for anything unusual that occurred before or after the incident was reported.

The identity of the deceased male has not been released. Police have not provided additional information.
