Arrest made in Kingsville in assault and drug bust

Ontario Provincial Police in Kingsville have arrested a man in connection with a domestic dispute, which lead to the discovery of drugs.

Officers were called to a home on Noah Crescent on Wednesday. While looking into a complaint of domestic violence, officers from the OPP Major Crimes Unit and Community Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant on the home. As a result, unspecified quantities of drugs, paraphernalia, and currency were found and seized.

Constable Amanda Allen reported that the suspect has been charged with nine counts of assault, three counts of assault with a weapon, and two counts of choking causing bodily harm.

The suspect, whom the OPP has not identified, is also charged with one count each of cocaine possession, uttering threats, and mischief under $5,000.

The charges have yet to be proven in court. The suspect will have a chance to respond in a Windsor courtroom at a later date.
