WECHU issues COVID-19 public exposure notice

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has issued a COVID-19 public exposure notice for the Dollarama store on Amy Croft Drive.

Health officials say people may have been exposed to the virus if they visited the store on January 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 13, 2021.

The exposure is considered low risk, however the heath unit issues a notice when it is unable to contact everyone who may have been exposed.

Anyone who visited the store on the dates listed above is asked to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days from the date of exposure.

There are currently 2,519 active cases of COVID-19 in the community. The health unit is monitoring 53 active outbreaks including outbreaks at 28 workplaces. An outbreak is declared when two or more employees test positive for COVID-19 within a reasonable timeline to suspect transmission in the workplace.
