Access to Essex OPP detachments restricted during lockdown

Like many government and publicly-funded places, Ontario Provincial Police are restricting in-person access during the province's COVID-19 lockdown.

The OPP has cut access to its detachments across the province, including those in Windsor-Essex, to help slow the spread of the virus.

Anyone who needs access to an OPP detachment in Essex County will need to call the detachment and make an appointment. Visitors will be subjected to COVID-19 screening and must wear a face covering before being allowed to enter.

Criminal record checks and vulnerable sector checks, along with fingerprinting services, are available to essential workers and volunteers only for the time being.

Operating hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please contact the appropriate detachment at the number below for an appointment.
