A gathering in Leamington has led to charges under the reopening Ontario Act.
The Leamington OPP went to a residence on Queens Avenue in Leamington on Saturday around 8 p.m. after a complaint was made.
Police found more than 10 people in the building, which is contrary to the Reopening Ontario Act while the region is in the Grey-lockdown stage.
A 37-year-old was charged with failing to comply with the act.
Windsor bylaw officers have also laid multiple charges under the Reopening Ontario Act over the last week.
Officers conducted 128 proactive checks and attended another 101 locations to follow-up on complaints made to 311. As a result of these checks, there was one charge laid for no safety plan, one municipal bylaw charge, and one charge for a non-essential business being open.
