As the region moves into grey or lockdown on Monday many municipal services are making shifts.
The City of Windsor is closing City Hall, the Parks and Recreation Main Office and Parking Enforcement to the public effective Monday.
“Windsorites showed tremendous resolve this past spring when the first wave shut down our province, our country and the entire world,” said Mayor Drew Dilkens. “We need to do the same again to prevent those we care about from getting sick. No gathering is worth the risk. We need to each do our part, by staying apart.”
Residents can find out how all services are being affected by checking the City of Windsor's COVID-19 response page.
Service Ontario and Service Canada Offices that are located in the 400 Building at 400 City Hall Square East will remain open at this time.
Windsor Public Library locations will close on Monday to prepare for a shift in services. Locations will reopen on Tuesday for material pick-up and computer access only. There will be no browsing of materials, classes, or programming provided.
The City of Windsor previously announced that all recreation facilities, arenas, pools, museums and community centres will remain closed until at least January 15, 2020.
The Municipality of Lakeshore is also closing its town hall to the public. Municipal services will be available online or by phone.
The Town of Essex also announced it would be closing all of its facilities as of Monday.
Other municipalities including Tecumseh, Kingsville, Leamington and LaSalle have previously closed their town halls to the public.
