F.W. Begley Public School is reopening to students this week.
Students will return on a staggered schedule starting on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. The schedule can be found here. At home, online instruction will continue until students are scheduled to return to school.
The school has been closed since November 17 when an outbreak of COVID-19 was declared. In total, 49 staff and students tested positive for the virus.
The Greater Essex County District School Board has completed a deep clean of the building to prepare for students' return.
The staff has also undergone additional training to help prevent future outbreaks. They will be paying close attention to prevention protocols for all staff and students.
Parents are reminded to screen their children every day before they attend school to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19.
