Provincial police in Lakeshore have released a composite sketch of a suspect, following an incident where a young girl was kissed against her will while out for a bike ride in her neighbourhood.
OPP report the young girl was riding her bike around 6 p.m. Thursday on Broadway Street in Belle River when she was approached by an elderly man. He engaged the girl in a conversation and then proceeded to kiss the girl against her will several times. The girl pushed past the man and left the area to report the incident to her parents.
The suspect is described as a white man between 50 and 60 years old with short dark hair. He's about 5'4" and slightly hunched over. He was wearing a dark sweater and dark pants and had a hearing aid in his right ear.
The investigation is ongoing and the OPP Essex County Major Crime Unit asks that anyone who may have witnessed this incident or recognizes the description of the suspect described above, contact police immediately at 519-723-2491.
