A 29-year-old woman wanted in the shooting of another woman in Leamington this past July is now in police custody.
The Ontario Provincial Police issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for Talita Isola Campbell on Monday.
On July 19, a 39-year-old woman suffered serious injuries when she was shot at a home on Robinson Street.
Police released a description of the suspect and photos, but Campbell eluded police until Wednesday. The OPP's Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Unit arrested her in the Greater Toronto Area.
She was returned to Essex County, where she will attend a bail hearing.
Campbell faces attempted murder and other firearm-related offences.
The charges have not been proven in court.
The OPP wants to thank the public for their assistance.
