UPDATE: Police conclude investigation after finding bloodied scene

Windsor Police are no longer searching for an injured person after they discovered a significant amount of blood on a city roadway.

On Sunday, police announced the person involved reached out to them. Investigators have confirmed the injury was accidental, and no criminal elements were involved.

Officers located the scene in the 1200 block of Howard Avenue around 3 p.m. Saturday. Following the incident, the police service temporarily closed the area to investigate, and put a call out to the public seeking information.

Police are thanking the community for their assistance in the matter.
