Tecumseh Town Councillors have approved a plan to partially reopen Tecumseh Arena for rental next month.
One rink will open on August 10, and the second will reopen in September.
Locker rooms and change rooms will not reopen. The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit said Tuesday those will remain closed.
While the arena was closed, staff embarked on a list of projects and improvements. They gave the arena a deep cleaning, finished painting and repairing the walls, and replaced some lighting with LED bulbs.
Council was presented with more than one scenario for reopening Tecumseh Arena. It approved scenario one. Scenario two would have had both pads open in September.
