The Windsor Essex County Health Unit reported another 18 COVID-19 cases Monday morning.
Of the cases, seven were to the agri-farm sector, and eight are infections contracted in the community. Another three cases are under investigation.
There are currently outbreaks at seven workplaces in Leamington and Kingsville.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Wajid Ahmed said the risk of community spread increases as more people go back to work and open up their social circles.
"What we are seeing in the community now is people having more contacts, and more contacts coming back positive, so it's absolutely important that we follow those measures," said Dr. Ahmed.
The province recommends keeping close contacts to no more than 10 people.
The total case count in Windsor-Essex is now 1,982. Of those, 1,303 cases are considered resolved.
