Country music fans can get their fix of local talent and support a good cause Wednesday night.
Windsor's Country 95.9/92.7 FM, a Blackburn Radio Inc. station, is producing a Facebook Live concert to raise funds for the Windsor Residence for Young Men.
Windsor's own Kelsi Mayne and fellow artists, including Buck Twenty, Eric Etheridge, and Danielle Bourjeard, will perform.
Donations can be made online at the Windsor Residence for Young Men's webpage.
"We are very grateful that this group of talented young performers is raising money to help homeless youth build new lives," said WRYM President Brian Worrall.
The concert gets underway at 7 p.m. Wednesday online.
The Windsor Residence for Young Men provides young men, between the ages of 16 and 24, with a place to call home and learn essential life skills.
A third of residents return to their extended family instead of ending up living on the streets. Two-thirds move on to live independently, just as many continue their education, while the rest find stable employment.
The agency boasts a 95 per cent success rate.
The residence opened its doors in October 2012 at a time when Windsor-Essex had no transitional housing or life skills programs available to youth. After 12 years, the community raised enough money to purchase and renovate a suitable residence for its clients.
